When this idea struck me, I felt that shiver we experience when we know we’re on the right path.

For years, I’ve been hand-painting mandalas—a practice I love and that fills me with positive energy.
Each of my creations carries a personal story,
transformed into natural silk accessories that become an expression of the one who wears them.

I decided to take this path during a short trip with friends.
One of them, amazed by my work, said:
“They’re so beautiful, they should be worn.”
Those words struck me — and became my inspiration.

After all, though I was born in Genoa,
I wanted to pay tribute to the city
where I chose to live many years ago: Como.
The historic silk-making tradition of Como,
renowned worldwide,
would give me the opportunity to enrich
my work with its excellence.

Como is not just a backdrop — it’s living matter, silk tradition, a textile legacy that breathes through every detail.
Every glimpse, every reflection of the lake, every workshop I visited,
specialized in silk printing, taught me something about the beauty
of artisan care.
I wanted my work to be a bridge between my inner world
and a place that has made silk printing an art form.

THE ORIGIN OF THE NAME

Once I made the decision to begin my journey into the world of artisan natural silk manufacturing — Made in Italy, only one important detail remained:
what would I name my brand?
One day, I went for a walk along Lake Como, and ideas began to flood my mind.
My thoughts found clarity as I looked at the lake, lit by the sun.
Like a calling from destiny, my attention was caught by the light shimmering over Lake Como… soft as silk:
Seta Sole.
This name was gifted to me by the enchantment of a fleeting moment,
as intangible as silk and radiant as the sun.
My name is Sabrina Sessarego and I produce silk foulards in Como, my beloved city.
The initials of my name are the same as those of my brand.
Destiny? Perhaps.
What I do know for sure is that I believe in sustainable fashion and in the conscious production of my foulards, scarves, and twillys, which—when worn by people—spread
my art, my energy, and my love.
